Inspired by crocodiles but often read as dragon or mythical creature eyes, these pieces exist between nature and fantasy: ancient, alert, and quietly unsettling. The eyes are sculpted from the inside pushed outward, and each scale carefully carved. The iris and spaces between the scales are clear glazed for contrast against the unglazed and sanded porcelain body.
This eye cup has been made with translucent porcelain so it can serve either as a cup or a luminary.
This piece is discounted due to the clear glaze crackling. Some people see this as a feature, some people see this as a bug.
