Inspired by crocodiles but often read as dragon or mythical creature eyes, these pieces exist between nature and fantasy: ancient, alert, and quietly unsettling. The eyes are sculpted from the inside pushed outward, and each scale carefully carved.
The pupil, eyelid and spaces between the glaze, as well as the inside have been glazed with a glossy black to contrast the raw black clay on the outside.
